"The works of Kamen Startchev use recognizable details from the reality, brought out to almost abstract forms, which intensifi their effects throught their alienation to specific connotations, functionality, and context. The digital print allows additional technicising of the images to a degree of a laconic expression, when they acquire the structure of a diagram; the images are devoid of all possible subject matter and causal commitment, and the color solutions are dominated by synthetic colors. The graphics of Startchev are not key of physiognomic fragments, but rather their alternative, unfolding opportunities for unusual configuration of a new materialiti"- Galina Lardeva.
